Me the nation, not the nation in me

I feared, fettered over the earth shivering sounds,
all devastated, earth surface turned mars bleeding mortal kith kin
I sighed, am safe in my home, monitor running brutal visuals round and round,
an unconscious belief creep in, 'it's always me the nation, not the nation in me'.

Me with my perplexed emotions, peeped outside my cocoon,
fearful yet vigil to sense the peril surrounding me,
relieved again, am safe in my cocoon, tired mind will get sleep till noon,
an unconscious belief creep in again, 'it's always me the nation, not the nation in me'.

Mind still restless wakes the sleep to probe below the cot,
sleep bravely bends down while mind skipping beats of heart from me,
mind relaxes, am safe in my dreams, mind readily ties with sleep a fearless knot,
the same unconscious belief stays within, 'it's always me the nation, not the nation in me'.

The other day, again I feared, fettered over the earth shivering sounds,
held the mirror, looked for bruises from face till knee,
I cheered, am safe in my governance, realizing no room for unconscious grounds,
the conscious belief is now a slogan, 'it's always me the nation, not the nation in me'.
